15 Medals for Panthers at the LTA InterClub Sparring Championship

On Sunday 27 September 2026, a team of London Taekwondo Panthers students stepped onto the mat for the LTA InterClub Sparring Championship, and came home with 15 medals: 7 golds and 8 silvers.

The InterClub series is one of the internal competitions we run for our students with London Taekwondo Academy. It gives children a safe, friendly and well-refereed first taste of competing, against students of a similar age, grade and size.

Sparring is the part of Taekwondo most people picture: two students in full protective kit, scoring points with controlled kicks to the body guard and head guard. For many of our younger students this was their very first sparring competition, and the courage they showed stepping into the ring was just as impressive as the medals.

A huge well done to every student who took part, and thank you to all the parents who came along to cheer. We're incredibly proud of you all.
